📽️ Presentation Mode¶
Presentation Mode turns your knowledge base into an automated or manually guided 3D tour. The camera glides step-by-step from node to node throughout the diagram. This mode is designed for presentations, team meetings, training sessions, or recording video walkthroughs.
Optionally, built-in Text-to-Speech (TTS) can read aloud the names and descriptions of each visited node.
How to open: Click on Tools in the left sidebar menu, then click on Start Presentation in the panel (located directly above "Memorize Items").
🎛️ Toolbar Controls¶
When Presentation Mode is activated, the left sidebar collapses to maximize screen space for the presentation. A dedicated floating control toolbar appears in the top right corner of the screen:

| Previous Slide (Left arrow) | Manually steps back to the previous node in the presentation sequence. |
| Start / Pause Presentation (Play / Pause) | Starts or pauses the automated camera movement. While the automated slideshow is running, clicking this button pauses movement to linger on an item. Clicking it again resumes the tour. |
| Next Slide (Right arrow) | Manually advances to the next node in the presentation sequence. |
| Read Items Aloud (Speaker icon) | Toggles the operating system's text-to-speech synthesis on or off. When active, the system reads aloud the node label and description text at each step. |
| End Presentation (✕ icon) | Exits Presentation Mode, closes the presentation toolbar, and restores the standard user interface including the main sidebar. |
🔄 Sequence and Progression Logic¶
The tour follows the structural hierarchy of the diagram:
- Root Node Beginning: The presentation starts at the currently active root node of the diagram.
- Depth-First Traversal: The camera visits child branches of the root node one by one, descending into deeper hierarchy levels before returning to the next sibling branch.
- Centering & Focus: At each node, the camera smoothly aligns to an optimal perspective, placing the active element into the center of view.
- Pause & Discussion: You can pause the slideshow at any time to answer audience questions or explain details, then click Start Presentation to proceed.
🗣️ Text-to-Speech (Speech Synthesis)¶
When enabling Read Items Aloud:
- The application uses your system or browser's default speech synthesizer in the currently configured language.
- The system reads the node label as well as the description text.
- Detailed HTML notes from the notes panel are skipped during the presentation tour; keep key takeaways concise within the Description field of each element for optimal narration.
💡 Best Practices for Presentations¶
- Concise Descriptions: Aim for 1–2 clear, informative sentences per item description. This keeps the pacing brisk and speech synthesis natural.
- 3D Text Orientation: Before starting, open the Adjust View menu and set Text Orientation to To Viewer. This ensures all node labels remain directly readable without tilting during camera rotations.
- Backdrop & Themes: Choosing an engaging background (such as a Starfield or a clean dark background) enhances the depth of the 3D flight.
- Keyboard Navigation: You can step forward and backward between slides using the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard.
